Kiana’s Favorite Banana Bread
Sweet, yummy and a perfect dessert or breakfast! This recipe has been in our family a long time and it’s more of a cake but still a bread.
1 Cup of Sugar
1/2 Cup of Shortening
Add 2 eggs – mixing each into sugar mixture (1) at a time
Stir in 2 mashed ripe bananas into mixture
Sift together and add to mixture:
1 Cup Flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
Pour into 9×9, 8×8 or 2 loaf pans. If you double the recipe, use a 13×9 pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for approx 40 minutes.
Enjoy… perfect with cool whip or whipped cream on top… or a cup of tea! Enjoy the sweet treat!!!
